insulin pumping

i've been using Minimed insulin pumps since 2001, and if you look at my hbA1c graph, you'll notice that i've had pretty good success at controlling my bg levels with it (going down from 8's to 7's)

if you are considering moving onto insulin pump therapy, then learn a bit more about the pros and cons of using one, as well as finding out a bit more about my experience, by checking out my video:

overall, i'd say that i wouldn't be where i am today without an insulin pump. it helped me so much throughout my teenage years and whilst i was at uni, and it gave me the flexibility to do what i wished, and live as close to 'normal' a life as i could.

philip, paul, patrick and pedro (my quadruple of pumps) have been major blessings on my life, as they help me live my crazy, unroutined life, and go on holiday without much stress.

the negatives all get swept under the rug really, because the freedom that pumping gives me far outweighs them. i've figured my way round sleeping, travelling, dressing, eating and exercising with a pump, as well as the technical things like infusion sets, basal rates and dual wave bolusing.

i'd love to answer any questions you may have, so please don't hesitate to ask!
